Your Data Security
We built SirenScholars prioritizing the integrity of your academic data. We encrypt authentication layers using Supabase, meaning we cannot ever read your plain-text password. For enterprise-grade financial security, we use Stripe to securely process all payments—meaning SirenScholars never touches or stores your raw credit card information.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with our educational platform effectively, we collect several types of information:
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII): Email addresses, first and last names provided during registration.
- Academic Metrics: Your quiz scores, areas of weakness, flashcard retention data, and simulated NREMT pass rates. We store this deeply encrypted in our Postgres database to provide you with your predictive dashboard analytics.
- Payment Information: Processed fully via Stripe. We only store Subscription IDs and billing statuses to manage your access tunnels.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is strictly used to improve your EMS study experience. Specifically, we use it to:
- Maintain your personalized educational Dashboard.
- Calculate your algorithmic weakness domains to dynamically target your study sessions.
- Process transactions and send subscription management emails securely.
- Prevent unauthorized account sharing and syllabus theft or scraping.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We absolutely do not sell your personal data to third-party marketers or data brokers. We only share information with critical service providers necessary to run the platform:
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider.
- Stripe: Our payment processing gateway.
- Vercel: Our cloud hosting infrastructure.
4. Data Deletion and Your Rights
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. Inside your Account Profile, there is an irreversible "Delete Account" button. Initiating this instantly drops your user node and cascades through all associated quiz/study metrics, wiping them permanently from our database.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" timestamp. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
